[Philodendron Xanadu] Native to the northern countries of South America and the Caribbean, the Xanadu is an exotic climber with interesting stem feature giving way to elongated stems and beautiful leaf. Will tolerate shade, so a good choice for a shady corner.

Positioning + Light Needs
Happy with good natural light and partial shade but avoid any direct sunlight.
The soil in the pots should be kept moist, never soaked and never be allowed to dry out. During the summer months you will be watering as much as twice per week to maintain moisture levels, whereas in winter you should water sparingly only when the top 2 inches of soil have dried out.
Yes please, I enjoy high humidity so mist me every few days, especially in the Winter months when the heating kicks in.
Feed the plant every 2 months March to September with fertiliser.
When the roots compact and form a tight ball it is time for the plant to be repotted into a planter that is around 2-3 inches larger. Repotting should take place late Winter or early Spring before the plant begins to grow new leaves.
Child / Pet Friendly
Toxic to cats and dogs if consumed.
I am indeed!
Look out for
Over watering will cause the leaves to turn yellow. Under watering will cause the leaves to turn brown and fall off.
Our size guide applies to both plants and planters.
The diameter range for each is based on the following:
Plants: the total nursery pot diameter (exterior measurement)
Planters: the opening diameter (interior measurement)
Plants: The stated height for any given plant is from the ground up, so will always include the nursery pot.
Plant & Planter Fit: To find a planter for your chosen plant, start with the corresponding size category, e.g. plant size S - go to Small (S) planters.
Example 1: your chosen plant size states M | 60 | 21. This is a Medium size (M) with a height of 60cm and a nursery pot diameter of 21cm.
Go to Planters size category: Medium [21 - 29cm].
You will need a minimum planter opening diameter size of 22cm.
Example 2: your chosen plant has a nursery pot diameter of 29cm. Though this falls within our Medium range (21-29cm), you will need to look at 30cm + planters - taking you into the Large Planters category [30 - 39cm].
